I’m experiencing network problems. How can I test?

If you're experiencing slowness in loading your site, or you're unable to load your sites within a few seconds, it's possible that there could be a wider network issue affecting all customers, customers on certain internet service providers, or customers in certain geographic locations.

We'd ask that when raising a ticket include several traceroutes to sites like news.bbc.co.uk and ripe.net, as well as our own xilo.net site. This allows us to compare the path to each network from your current internet connection.

You can also run a reverse traceroute via traceroute.xilo.net and paste the output of that into your ticket. This shows us the connection from our network to your current internet connection.
