Sender receives a bounce back message - my mailbox is full

If you know someone has attempted to send you an email and they have received a bounce back message saying "my mailbox is full" or "mail quota has been exceeded" this means that your mailbox has run out of disk space and needs to be adjusted. You can follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  • Login to you cPanel web hosting account
  • Find the "Mail" section
  • Click on "Email Addresses"
  • Select the email address you would like to edit and then click "Quota"
  • Change your quota and click "Apply"

Alternatively you can delete existing emails to free up some disk space.

Once you have increased the disk space, or freed up some space, please ask the sender to resend the email that bounced back. You should now receive the email without issue.
